How a project actually runs

Every project starts with how you move through a space, not a mood board. Three stages, roughly in this order.

  1. 01 —

    Survey & brief

    Measured drawings of the existing space, and a working brief from an hour walking the site with you. Usually one to two weeks.

  2. 02 —

    Design & model

    Hand sketches first, then a 3D model you can walk through before anything is costed. Usually four to six weeks.

  3. 03 —

    Detail & build

    Full construction drawings, and we stay on as site contact through the build — timeline depends on the contractor's schedule.

Fees

How we charge

A fixed fee for survey and brief, agreed before we start. Design and detail stages are quoted as a percentage of construction cost once the brief is set, so you know the number before committing to it.
